Hi boys and girls!
Today I center on that magic word everyone loves. FREE! Yes, I agree it is nice to be given something for nothing, but in business? Really? You really expect that? So you probably know where I am going with this. 🙂 I’m going to give a few thoughts and then list the draw backs a FREE member finds in most credible online opportunities. I think the biggest thing is just the mentality, I’m here to make money but I can’t spend any. OK? But, you expect to promote something and have someone pay for it, right? Do you think they’ll appreciate that? Do you feel that stance will be respected by them? How about if you are asked questions about this product/service. Maybe you can ignore or dodge the question? How about just say you don’t know as you don’t believe enough in the product you are representing? Good answers? NO! Then, we have leaders in online marketing that perpetuate the myth. Actually to the extent of endorsing that position. They themselves probably have heavily invested to get to where they are, so a bit of a double standard. Cheerleaders are great in sports but no so much in online business. Tell people the truth, not what they want to hear. The truth is what it really takes to succeed online. Not a 1 year plan, 5 year plan, or 100 year plan. How about success, TODAY! Or, you can choose the plan of working for someone else for the rest of your life. That is what is truly FREE, or is it?
Financial Freedom, it’s not free my friend. Sorry! Now, for the cons of the free mindset (Sorry, couldn’t think of any pros, lol)
- Not credible to others
- Provided the site gives you full commission-ability, how are you going to promote?
- Unable to build a list, autoresponders have a cost
- Using free advertising like a viral mailer. You’ll be lucky to get 1 click out of 100 credits. A traffic exchange will be worse. And that does not even include conversions (opt ins). Paid traffic yields generally 30-50 leads per 100 clicks.

Time Is A Terrible Asset To Waste. When I am surfing to get my biz seen, this is what I see online on a daily basis: “Tired Of Paying For Everything?” “No Investment Ever To Earn”, and Others.
I am Still a Rookie in the marketing world and the one word that Grinds my Gears IS the Word FREE! That Word should Never be in Existence today.
If your Free program you’re promoting is just handing you money without Putting something in, it won’t last! Where’s The Money coming from?
If you do not invest in yourself, then what makes any marketer who has that free mindset think that someone will invest in Them. Because to be Blunt, I’m not handing anyone money with attitude.
I love the “where’s the money coming from” part. I blame alot of the so called leaders over the past 20 years for not taking a stronger position in this area.
