Hey there!
I hope you are doing well where you are. Me, I’m settling into my new digs since I wrote my last post about downsizing. My goal is to get more regular content to you. And hopefully you’ll find it useful whether you are working with me as your coach or not.
As you can see from the graphic above, there are 5 types of online business. Blogging and Video are both good avenues, but the question you have to ask yourself is what is your focus going to be. If you try to be too general, you may not really attract the following you seek. So in my opinion, save these till after you have started a business and have a game plan. Preferably, get yourself a coach/mentor who can help you avoid costly mistakes.
So that takes me to affiliate marketing/informational products. Great stuff here indeed. Myself, I recommend something like Genesis Lifestyle Network that offers a huge array of Online Marketing Education that you can utilize yourself and then share with others. It also offers commissions as high as 2k per sale, so on our 7 Day FREE Trial it is certainly worth a look. With something like GLN in place, you then can add blogging and video to help you along. Coincidentally enough, those are training segments within GLN’s Online University!
Finally, drop shipping. I’ve never done it but I have seen people do it. You’ll have to do some research on it but there is a lot of logistics to it. Buying then posting then reselling then shipping. Hopefully, at the end of the day you turn a profit. But you have to carefully track your cash in and cash out on this. So due diligence is required here.
I hope this breakdown helped and if you read this far please post a comment at the bottom of this article to show your support. It will also tell me what my most effective form of exposure is so please indicate in the comments how you got to this article.

Great post. I didn’t know anything about drop shipping. I am a member of Genesis Lifestyle and there online university has a lot of great information, especially since I can never make the training Webinars. I dabble in blogging a little. Overall, a lot of great information that will help me in my business.
Thanks Christi! Glad you liked it!!!
Great info, Rob. I’m sticking to blogging and GLN.
HAD an online marketer I respect contact me after he read one of my blogs. How cool is that.
Great information Rob not just for your members but for anyone trying to start an online
business.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks Jason, appreciate you!
That is very cool Michael. There are also ways to monetize your blog you may want to look into.
I’m going to disagree with your blog post. This makes it sound like there are only 5 types of online business opportunities. In fact, I would say there are unlimited opportunities for earning online. You may have to seek them out or create your own. Here is a personal example. I just did a project where I recorded video of people telling jokes for a website. Also, yes I have heard of drop-shipping. I personally know 1 person that does it, but I know 2 people that sell on Amazon and Ebay. They have been able to turn the Amazon/Ebay into a full-time gig. So to conclude, I believe there are unlimited opportunities to earn online.
Thanks Mike. You are correct, I was going to do a follow up on additional options. I was thinking crypto as well but that is a tough one as investment/passive is a different animal.
Great info Rob. Blogging and video are the best ways to brand yourself online, no matter what your business may be. I’ve done dropshipping and it can be profitable, as long as you track your cash in and out like you said.
Thanks for that Kurt. Being diversified is a plus. The risk would be to water one’s focus down.
Great post as allways Rob
Thanks Elizabeta. I appreciate you taking the time to read it.
Thanks for sharing ?? To have team members who will offer help is very important. Some of us are just learning the different Platforms, and learning HOW to use our different Devices.
I agree Linda. A house is built one brick at a time. 🙂
